Anderson's Biscuits Supreme

Great Biscuits
1 c flour
1/2 t salt
4 t baking powder
1/2 t cream of tartar
2 t sugar
Cut in 1/2 c shortening ( Crisco) preheat oven to 450 degrees. When mixture resembles coarse crumbs add 2/3 c milk all at once. Stir until dough follows fork around the bowl. Pat or roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut out with juice glass or biscuit cutter. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in hot oven for 10-12 minutes.
